Starbucks Retail

At Graphite, I functioned as part of the Starbucks in-house design team while simultaneously performing AOR responsibilities. I was the first designer in this role and helped develop the standards and processes that made the Graphite team successful. As the team grew, I facilitated quality control and design consistency. I managed up to 13 projects at a time, participating in the fast-paced internal Starbucks design process.
Parque Kirkland Mixed Use

Parque is a LEED Gold Certified mixed-use project in downtown Kirkland, WA. It has 70 apartment units above three retail spaces. As the lead interior designer for this project, I designed all interior spaces- including custom built-in storage in every unit. I designed feature art installations and collaborated on the architectural design.
The owner challenged us to create a “disrupter” in the marketplace – something to completely alter the notion of what a wood framed walk-up multi-family environment can be. At completion, the rental rates were approximately 28% higher than the new high-rise apartment across the street, and the ground floor retail space was 100% leased. Within 6 months 100% of the apartments were leased.
Block V Multi-Family

Block V is a true mixed-use project with residential units occupying two towers over a podium of Class A office space and ground floor retail. In the heart of downtown Seattle, WA, Block V is currently under construction. I designed the 665 efficiently compact residential units, and collaborated on the architectural design of balcony placement and common area spaces. Floor plates rotate as they ascend the tower; I worked closely with the architect and MEP consultant to coordinate unit floor plans with façade design and venting.
Seattle Barkery Retail

The Seattle Barkery is a local bakery that specializes in freshly made dog treats. Robust materials, styled from elements of their homes, fences, and gates. The design of the store is dog centric, selling dog gone good treats, and making the pets and their humans feel at home. Previously selling from a food truck, this 400 square foot space is their first storefront location. I tackled this TI from a vanilla shell in the Amazon Nitro Building.
